Space day!

This morning we coloured and cut astronaut pictures out and made space pictures...

We printed off photographs of Mia and Freddie to put inside the space helmet...

Freddie did one of himself and Mia... Mia chose to have he and her brother wear the same space suit!

Freddie added a space ship to his picture...he coloured it beautifully...  And some planets which we looked up on google to find out their colour...

Mia wanted to colour in a firefly to put in her space picture ( inspired by a recently watched film "fly me to the moon" which stared some firefly s who hitched a ride on the Apollo 10)

We also did "5 in a Row" and read this book about the true story of the first flight over the channel. Freddie in particular was very into it!

It was mild today so we spent time in the garden, the kids performing shows for me on the trampoline and we walked ( Fred ran, Mia cycled) up to the post office to pick up a parcel.

Today we were full of cold and feeling quite unwell but we still managed to have lots of fun...

So much fun was had with spaghetti, lentils and dried beans.... Fred and Mia played "restaurants" for yonks.

Freddie has spent hours doing wonderful Hama bead designs today...

We talked about symmetry and Freddie designed a symmetrical butterfly....

We have had lovely aunty over for tea and she and Mia did lots of drawing.

We have also done lots of things that I haven't photographed, we have done a bit of phonics workbooks, made our and written in our thank you cards, been to our usual groups -music and social group. We have had a few play lovely dates, been to soft play 3 times and poor little Mia broke her nose jumping (and slipping) off a raised flower bed in the car park of soft play.... We have also been playing lots and lots of board games...Rhyming Robbers, sight word bingo, sum swamp, sight word snap, snakes and ladders, cup cakes to name a few current favourites...oh and the current number 1 game - angry birds guess who!!!!!
