my confident boy

I am loving watching Freddie's confidence growing! he is such a happy boy and he is really developing his social skills, he is now happy to say hello and goodbye to people, remembers to say pleases and thank yous and is really growing in confidence with his peers. He is so outgoing with A and J now, once he was very timid, today he was so proud showing them his star wars stuff and angry birds on the I pad. He is loving chasing and play fighting with toy guns and light sabers. I expected myself not to "approve" of this behaviour but I actually love it as I can see how important it is to him developing his masculinity. I have no fear of him playing with guns - he often uses sticks as guns and plays with "guns" that shoot balls or elastic bands or water. He doesn't understand about "killing" people although he says the word, but I feel this play is all linked to his sense of strength as a boy developing and I am so excited by this.  He is so gentle, would never push or hit a child (although occasionally his sister when frustrated) so I feel this expression of "aggression" is positive and important.
