French class reports
The autumn term French reports for Fred and Mia. Really positive and pleasing as the French class is straight after music class and means they are focusing and working hard for over 1 hour and 30 mins.

There is so much I forget to blog about!
I constantly forget to take photos or blog about lovely things we do but I just came across this photo from some time in November and I just want to add it now...I love it so much...the kids made a wonderful autumn picture and look the picture is so similar to one we took 2 Christmases ago...look how much the kids have grown!
Learning about snow
Our cheeky elf was found this morning making snow angels which started our learning about snow...we did some research and read all about snow. The kids were amazed that no snow flake is ever the same yet each have six points...we looked at images of snow flakes under a telescope.
We then made our own which we stuck up on the windows!
We then did a science experiment, we attempted to make salt crystals. This involved making a snow flake shape out of pipe cleaners and threading thread round it like a web, and hanging it from a pencil...then popping boiling water in a jar and adding salt until salt no longer dissolved in it...
Then hanging our snowflakes in the water. The process of the water cooling should make the salt particles seperate from the water and form crystals....

We finished the day off by watching a Richard Hammond documentary all about weather...this weeks was on rain and snow x
Face painting fun
The naughty elf gave us a great idea for today!...
This happened over night...
And the kids found elf like this this morning....

Art and Tech group
My lovely friend took these great photos today at craft group. The children made Christmas decorations, they loved it and concentrated for the full 2 hours and wanted to carry on after the group had finished!
Christmas decorations
Mia has been loving making angels, she made her own from a paper plate and also has been cutting these angels out (10in total) she has been playing with them for days!
Reading
We have been playing lots of sight games recently and this was a favourite snakes and ladders adapted to incorporate the reading of words!
For the first time Freddie seems ready to read and appears to enjoy reading books himself. He is reading lots to his brothers.

Salt art/science experiments and art and tech group
We wrote words with glue, sprinkled salt on then dropped droplets of coloured water and watched the colour travel along the salt particles...
All about Fred,
Today Fred filled out a big poster all about him. This task was set by our Elf who wanted to get to know him. He drew pictures and wrote about things he likes. We have stuck it up on the wall. Mia wasn't so keen to do this activity so she played with her dolls and Lego.
These were our little on lookers:
Shrinkies
Shrinkies have been such a huge hit here. Mia has been making shrinking charm bracelets and Fred a football team shrinkies...everyday they have been doing some...I have only got photos of Fred's though...

A busy first day with our Elf
Our Elf has come to stay!
The children wrote him letters...
...and made him a bed....
They found him here in the morning...
And found a letter and lots of things out ready for them to use...
The elf had brought presents of baubles for the kids to paint...
And he asked them to decorate his bed, which they did gladly!
Then they set to work making Father Christmas es raindeer and slay....
We left everything drying and went to play some sight word games...
They are getting really good!
And Mia made a chocolate cake yum...
Which they both enjoyed!
They also weighed lots of things, estimating before weighing...
Lots of stampy was watched too, minecraft was played and Mia watched a Christmas Barbie's film!
