"Katy and the snow" book and related activities

Mia made puppets with friends...

We spent time constructing dens!

We read the book Katy and the snow...after. We made snow out of corn lour and veg oil and glitter...it was great!

We then did lots of winter themed activities

We looked at maps ( as there was a big map in the book! The kids followed instructions and drew a pirate map and we learnt about North, South, East and west...

Mia also did lots of colouring by numbers...

Drama group, play with friends and skoolbo!

The children have been enjoying Skoolbo which is similar to reading eggs and maths seeds.

Phonics games, dinosaur adventures, playing with friends and pizza making

I downloaded and made these dinosaur phonics games from TES resources. The aim was to help the kids learn the trickier sounds e.g ng,oi,a I etc....they really enjoyed the game and it really helped them learn

Then I read out an imaginary story about travelling back in time to the time of the dinosaurs. Here they are writing a list of all the things they would pack in their back pack for the travels. After they drew pictures of their adventures!

After they had friends round to play ( they are having play dates most afternoons) and for dinner they made pizza s in the shapes off faces! Yum.

The kids have Had a lovely weekend...Fred had football training, James took the kids swimming then we had our friends over for fish and chips, play and to watch The Voice,

James. Took the kids out on scooters and then they came home to make pizza faces!
