Ancient Egyptian Jewellery and Pyramids

This morning we read two chapters from our 'History of the World' book. We read about ancient Egypt and mummification and Pyramids. We learnt all about the story of the 'Great Pyramid', looking at google images and you tube. We watched a short video of a virtual tour inside a pyramid and also of the sphinx. We looked at pictures of mummy's and the golden death masks and learnt about what and why things were buried with mummy's. We looked at images of ancient Egyptian jewellery and Mia made some from kitchen rolls!

I gave Fred the task of building a pyramid on minecraft! He watched some you tube videos on how to do it but he found it hard and couldn't complete it. He concluded that he had learnt that pyramids were very hard to build!!!!

Fred also spent time reading his books and did an exercise in his Biff, Chip and Kipper work book.

This afternoon they had their friends over to play.
