Geography and home ed group

This morning we snuggled and read a lovely book about a girl who wanted to make an apple pie but found the market closed so instead travelled to lots of countries to collect the ingredients e.g she came to England for apples, Italy for semolina wheat, Jamaica for sugar cane....

We looked on the map to track her journey and Fred wanted to label the countries she had travelled too so he wrote the country names down and stuck them on the map...

Wtiting labels led to the kids wanting to write labels for things around the house e.g toilet, bath, sofa, floor which we did and stuck all round the house! Even Tiger had a label - Fred took this photo!

There was time for some work books....

This afternoon we had a fantastic time at a home ed group. Today there were lots of really great craft activities set out. The kids loved it and made wonderful Christmas tree baubles, cards, wreaths, snowflakes...and had lots of fun playing. There are about 30 kids at the group and there is a lovely atmosphere.

On the way we picked up a Christmas tree....

We had lots of fun decorating it this evening. Most our decorations we have made so felt very special. Freddie says its the best tree we have ever had, bless him!
