We had a homely day today filled with lots of crafts....
What was really lovely was how keen they were to do activities! I had bits and bobs to do in the house just to get straight after being away in London but they couldn't wait! Both refused (as always!) to get dressed so again it was pyjama school!
We did firework pictures...
Mia did lots of sticker pictures using farm stickers...
And Freddie was desperate to do a science experiment! He is very interested in volcano s so we made an erupting volcano with vinegar, food dry, washing up liquid and the explosive bicarbonate of soda!
Mia had a go...
Then Freddie did lots of experimenting, try without putting washing up liquid in, changing quantities of ingredients and adding new ingredients. We talked about chemical reactions and he discovered that for the volcano to erupt vinegar and bicarbonate of soda were the essential ingredients!
Mia busied herself making farm pictures...
In the afternoon the kids together made angry bird pictures with stamps. They were making a book, lovely to over hear them working together. I stapled their book together and Freddie dictated the story for me to write on every page...
A quick visit to grandma s and our day was done...
Wonderful day....daddy came home and I went off to work.
