Sea sensory fun in the tuff spot

Lovely day at home. Morning consisted of gardening, playing with bubbles...
Kids so lovely with each other, they really love playing together. I love this photo as it was an impromptu cuddle in the midst of giggling, squealing together whilst catching the bubbles.... They just suddenly stopped and cuddled!
Then we were chatting about the sea and our beach trip and Mia wanted to take her toys to a pretend beach in the house which led us to create this!
We made it by mixing lots of salt with blue food dye, letting it dry, then adding lovely green, light and dark blue glitter. Then to make it really watery looking we spread lots of translucent sparkly shreds or string like things (the sort maybe you would put in a special parcel to protect it?!) Then found lots of sea toys, crabs, sharks, dolphins and of course the octonauts to play in it....
Freddie soon lost interest and went to play with his snails but Mia played and played and played with the sea scene and her toys!
In this last photo fred has a snail on his shoulder and his arm! They stayed on him for the rest of the afternoon!
Then freddie and Mia went for a BBQ at T, G and J whilst I went to visit a tearful grandma. Fred tearful at me leaving him but they went on to have the most wonderful time playing with their lovely friends x
