He then started to take photos of his toys and he got very excited about using the photos he was taking to illustrate a story! So Fred arranged his Star Wars toys into positions and took photos of them and dictated stories for me to type... We have put the stories as the next two blog entry's!
The rest of the day has been spent playing/building with lego, drawing, making wooden train tracks, reading books, cooking cakes and doing phonics games and reading. Oh and I forgot the kids made space ship "control panels" out of card board boxes!
Freddie merging letter sounds in a game of follow the map to find the words!
Mia cooking her brother some birthday cup cakes! Fab recipe using coconut flour, raw cocao ( my favourite new ingredient!) and maple syrup. Tomorrow we will make more using banana, honey and dates to sweeten....who needs sugar?!
Saying that reminds me of an article that I read a few weeks back....1 tbsp of sugar significantly reduces a child's immune system for 6 hours! There are so many alternatives I really don't see the point of giving a child sugar!? Thankfully my kids get super excited for grapes or other natural sweet things. Here is the link to the article...
