Boat trip!

We were lucky enough to get spaces on the home ed boat trip today! The kids were so excited, 2 sets of our friends also had tickets, so was going to be a fun day. There were about 60 home ed children from our area on the boat and 40 accompanying parents! The weather looked a bit dubious but actually the rain showers added to the fun!

We are off! The kids loved looking at the scenery and houses we passed. We saw lots of wildlife, ducks, swans, dragonflies, Lilly pads, herons...( the children are  now dictating what I write!) and we went at the front of the boat. We saw the water coming out of the back of the boat, and we liked sitting at the top of the boat. We had yummy cakes and sandwiches with nut butter and an apple. There were lots of nice children on the boat. 

After the boat trip we went to the park....

Really wonderful day, great to meet new family's also!
