Then we spent a lovely day with Grandad and family. Dad was quite emotional but I think he had a really special day. So lovely to have Oma with us.

Then we rushed home to do some serious cleaning and preparing for grandad s surprise party! He thought we were going out for dinner but in fact we were having a little get together at our house. we invited three of his friends, Heidi and Mo, Oma, Emily and Grandma and we had a really lovely time! Oma wasn't up to coming unfortunately. Mia had a nap early evening so she managed to stay up. The kids were so excited and had a great time. We bought glow in the dark balloons and party hats, decorated the house and made an apple cake. We decided to get Chinese takeaway as this is a favourite of dads! He was really surprised and seemed to really enjoy it...he is so worth it, so pleased he like it!
