Cant stop em learning and its Party Time!

The kids couldnt wait to get going this morning. I am interested and have been reading about unschooling or autonomous learning and this morning I saw it in action! All I had to do was follow the children and be actively engaged! It all started with Freddie playing with his dinasaurs. He noticed that they were casting a shadow, he then started to do a " shadow show" for me and Mia. This led to him wanting to black out our bedroom and use the torch to do more shows. Me and Mia snuggled in bed whilst Fred entertained us with his shows! We paid for our tickets and watched storys about sharks, dinasaurs and the odd angry bird unfold! Then mummy and Mia had turns! I then hopped in the shower and left them to it.
When I came out I found Mia engrossed in play with her little figures and Fred working hard in his bedroom! He has a map of the world rug on his floor and he had his dinasaur book open and was placing his dinasaurs on the countrys that they came from on his rug! I was amazed that he knew most of the countries and that he was able to look at the map in the book, identify his dinasaurs and identify the countries they came from and replicate it on his rug map!

This led to more reading about dinasaurs, making more clay fossils and doing dot to dot of a dinasaur. Mia did lots of colouring, stickers and farm animals dot to dots.

Then we quickly got ourselves dressed etc and our friends arrived for our "not back to school" celebration! We had a lovely spread of food, presents for the kids, balloons, party hats and a lot of fun!

Fun was had with their "ballon sabres"!

We played animal chirades and a fun tooth fairy board game.

Great fun was had by all!
