Painting clay models and sensory bag making with friends

The day started with a surprise visit from a friend and her daughter...the kids made the most of maybe the last hot day of the summer, jumping on the trampoline and playing with the hose.
When they left the kids wanted to paint the clay models they had made the day before. Freddie wanted to paint his nest brown but we didn't have any so he experimented with mixing colours and found that orange and blue made orange. He was thrilled. He then set about making green too.
After this we read books and played our reading game on the computer. We found coolmaths.com and played some maths games to Freddie's delight.
Then off for fun at our friends house....
We started by making sensory bags which the kids loved, especially as Jenny had made Freddie angry bird faces to put in his sensory bag!
We filled our bags with hair gel, food colour, glitter and anything we fancied, Fred had his angry bird faces and Mia chose to put in Pom poms.
Then outside to enjoy the sun!

And then a spot of gardening (or eating) in the poly tunnel!
Today would have been the day that Freddie started school if he and we had chosen that route! It felt so right to be on our path, it feels happy and relaxed.
