Day 2 of "school"!

Wow, it is amazing how much u fit into a day! We had a home day today and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a hot day so the day started with the kids jumping on the trampoline, squealing with delight as they did "bouncing in the rain" as they call it! I spray the hose and they jump over the "river" as they call it! After at least half an hour of this game we stopped, dried off got dressed and got out the modelling clay. As it was such a lovely day we decided to do it outside in the sun. Both absolutely loved it. Mia used shape cutters and made butterflies, stars, wormies...and Fred made angry birds, their nest, eggs and a piggy. I think that this has been Freddie's favourite activity to date and he is begging me to buy more clay. We popped the end products in the oven to dry.

Tomorrow we will paint them.

Then we snuggled on the sofa and read books then had a picnic in the garden and watched our pigeon making her nest.
Kids fascinated. Asking lots of questions...questions came round to where Seth's mummy is, I explained that when Seth was about 8 weeks old he left his mummy and went to live with Granny....Fred was devastated by this idea and sobbed and sobbed, "how can puppy's and kittens be taken away from their mummy's?" He kept sobbing...my gorgeous sensitive boy.
He then spent time on his "teach your monster's to read" game on the computer and Mia had a go after and he did some Maths adding games on the i pad. Then we did some yummy cooking, banana and chocolate (or raw cocoa) ice cream and apple crumble with apples picked from our garden! Yum. ( all sugar free and wholesome obviously!)

Then a visit with aunty to see grandma who seemed in very good spirits. The kids whizzed round the garden, Mia on her scooter, Fred running. Fred obtained 2 injuries, he hit himself in the eye with one of the plastic garden animals and gave himself a cut and bruise and then 5 mins later tripped up when running and cut his knees on old grazes...v painful! Home for dinner and for daddy time! Xxxx
